Malayalam actress Meera Jasmine seems to be shaking off the
career blues. The talented heroine has begun the New Year with a Bang.
Her latest Tamil movie .Sandaikkozhi. has touched
off the upswing in her reel life. The film has been well received in Kollywood.
And, understandably, Meera.s fortunes are on the mend.
Now Ms Jasmine is busy with another Tamil flick
titled .Mercury Pookkal. in which her hero is Srikanth. The movie seems to have
an .Alai Payudhe.-type story focussing on the problems of lovers post marriage.
It is scheduled for a February release, says the buzz.
Another highlight of the film is said to be that
Meera.s role is a bit glamorous. This is quite uncharacteristic of Meera who has
so far shied away from oozing oomph on the reel.
On her home turf too, Meera is making a new
beginning in the New Year. She is playing Mohanlal .s love angle in the Sathyan
Anthikkad film, which goes on the floor this month itself. Incidentally,
Mohanlal and Sathyan are coming together after a gap of ten years.
Make the most of it, Meera. Here is wishing you a
very happy New Year!
