The stupendous success of the Rs 27-crore Shankar extravaganza has pitch forked her to the pinnacle.

No wonder, the saucy heroine of ‘Anniyan’ is in the seventh heaven these days. Agreed, her role in ‘Anniyan’ was not fully fleshed out. But she did give glimpses of her acting prowess in the movie.

As the Iyengar girl Nandini, who spurns the overtures of hero Ambi first and then falls headlong in love with Ambi-turned Remo later, Sada did give a good account of herself in an otherwise Vikram-centric film. She did internalise the mannerisms of a typical Iyengar girl well.

No wonder, Anniyan's unprecedented success has come as a shot in the arm for her career.

Saucy Sada is already doing a film with debonair Madhavan . In the film entitled "Priyasakhi", Sada plays the love interest of Madhavan. Sada is playing the role Shilpa Shetty did in the Hindi original. Of course, this is her second film with Madhavan, the first one being ‘Ethiri’.

However, the path to success has not been smooth for this simple, guileless girl.

She made her debut years ago in a non-descript Telugu film called "Jeyam". But the expected big break did not come easily.

In between she also figured in a Kannada flick named "Monalisa". It was a role that demanded show of a bit of glamour. But Sada did not shy away from it though she took care to see that the glamour stuff did not go beyond a point.

The days of struggle are over, and things are looking up for Sada with ‘Anniyan’ doing wonders at the box office.

More offers are coming her way now. But the buzz is that she does not want to hurry it all up. Slow and steady wins the race. That seems to be the mantra Sada goes by now.
